SPN - Malawi - Construction of Irrigation Systems for Farm Blocks at Kambadwe and Mwana-Alirenji Cooperative Farms - SVTP 2 19-May-2026 The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development has received financing from the African Development Bank and OPEC Fund for International Development hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Shire Valley Transformation Programme, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the Construction of Irrigation Systems for Farm Blocks at Kambadwe and Mwana-Alirenji Cooperative Farms covering 665 ha. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing and OPEC Fund Loan Handbook, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.
